For the Mexico City’s Design Week, ADN Gallery organized "Identity and Dialogue of Design in Mexico"; an exhibition where 12 designers were invited to pick a vintage piece from the gallery's catalogue to serve as inspiration for creating a new design. My choice was a beautiful table from an unknown Mexican furniture maker who has a unique style of mixing materials, creating wire-framed volumes and using simple details that create a big difference. The design generated from this inspiration extracted certain key elements such as the angled square tube at 45 degrees and a rotated segment of its silhouette to create a coffee table and a side table.
