During the day, we always carry with us various objects that are essential for our activities. At some point, these objects might be placed somewhere, waiting to be used again. Fold was designed to be a smart alcove where these objects converge at some point. A functional accent to group and have always at hand what we need most.
Its flat-pack design is thought to interact from the moment it is assembled. The faces are sectioned to store it flat inside its packaging, reducing the space and facilitating its shipping. Subsequently, the geometry of the object allows the surfaces to be connected, generating a smooth contour when assembled. A felt coating inside creates a softness feeling when placing things on it.
Fold is made with 100% genuine leather, which has a special tanning based on vegetable oils, and non-aggressive dyes and chemicals. This allows to have a more resistant and durable skin, that improves with the use and changes with the passage of the years, showing the history of each piece.
Lo Esencial is a brand of objects for everyday use made of genuine leather that engage in a dialogue between the daily needs and the unique style of each person. Fold is part of the Elementos Collection by Lo Esencial, where 4 designers worked on different objects under the premise of developing essential objects; proposing new ways of interacting and projecting their vision into practical and useful pieces that can live in different contexts and environments.
