JOURNAL: MEXICAN MODERNISM BY JUAN O’GORMAN

The radical functionalism of Casa O’Gorman still stands out within its neighborhood today as an icon of Mexican Modernism. Imagine people’s reaction back in 1929. The house and studio of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo was designed by O’Gorman too, and was the first construction of the modern movement made in the American Continent, combining organic Mexican architecture and muralism with functionalist architecture.
