Versus is part of Mexicalidad, an exhibition at The Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington DC. This exhibition shares the stories of contemporary designers, seeking to understanding the local scope as possibility to strengthen social networks, both real and virtual. Mexicalidad summarizes the local talent and the quality manifested in past and present design.

Mexicalidad covers design as a professional field that materializes different concerns, aiming to improve our reality. It shares the stories of contemporary designers that surpass established limits, and who create new scenarios for our future. The exhibition continues the idea of understanding the local scope as possibility to strengthen social networks, both real and virtual, to improve our life and our surroundings. 

Mexicalidad is a play of words between Mexico and quality. It is a word summarizing local talend and quality manifested in design past and present. Mexicalidad also uncovers an inventory of resources - both material and conceptual - of our design nowadays, which balances the present by establishing a relation between contemporary practices and some examples of the traditional culture.
