Journal: Casa Pedregal by Luis Barragan
While in Mexico City, I visited Luis Barragán's Casa Prieto-Lopez, known as Casa Pedregal in the southern part of Mexico City. It was designed in the late 1940's according to the rocky land of the area, making Barragan work the gardens around huge volcanic stone and local vegetation. I was impressed by the huge gardens and layout of the house where he used grays and colors different form his bright signature palette. It was recently restored respecting the original details, simply amazing!
