10 100 1000 nominated for Designs of the Year Awards

The prestigious Design Museum of London has nominated 10 100 1000 for the 8th edition of Designs of the Year awards! Our Chiisai Stool is part of these collection of affordable stools developed with La Metropolitana, Francisco Torres, and Luis David Arredondo.

Designs of the Year celebrates design that promotes or delivers change, enables access, extends design practice or captures the spirit of the year. We are excited to share this nomination with Ariel Rojo, Cecilia León de la Barra, Christian Vivanco, Ediciones Jalapa, La Metropolitana, Moisés Hernández, Oscar Núñez, Priscilla Tierno and Sebastián Ocampo whom each developed a stool under the same brief and constrictions for the Project.

For the first time, the category of product design includes furniture, making it even more exciting to be nominated among a seemingly endless range of outstanding objects. The Jury is formed by Anish Kapoor, Hilary Alexander, Alexis Georgacopoulos, Farshid Moussavi and Richard Woolley and the results will be announced on May.

The exhibition will open from March 25 until August 23 2015.
